AMprover: A powerful tool to determine the ideal maintenance plan
Maintenance & Asset Management professionals:
NFV will together with Mainnovation offer a special webinar series “VDMXL Deep Dive Sessions”.
Value Driven Maintenance & Asset Management, or simply VDMXL, explains how maintenance, extending the service life, and modernization can add maximum economic value to an existing plant or fleet, or to existing infrastructure. The work is based on a quantitative control model, a control panel with 12 KPIs, sector-specific benchmarks, and over 50 best practices.
The topic for this webinar is AMprover: A powerful tool to determine the ideal maintenance plan
What is the ideal (preventive) maintenance plan? On the one hand, we want to keep corrective maintenance and the associated consequential costs as low as possible. On the other hand, we want to avoid doing too much preventive maintenance as preventive maintenance also comes at a price.
This requires a well-thought-out preventive maintenance plan. The Reliability & Maintenance Engineers are responsible for developing and continuously optimizing the preventive maintenance plan. For this, we can apply techniques such as RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
FMEA or RCM exercises can be started in Excel, but soon we run into the limitations of a spreadsheet: How are we going to create libraries or make use of studies from the past? How are we going to capture the experiences of colleagues? How do we optimize the content and frequency of tasks and calculate the effect on the total cost?
AMprover®4.0 is a powerful risk analysis software for the modern reliability and maintenance engineer. It supports the creation, but also the optimization of maintenance plans (PMO). When reviewing existing PM plans, we often find that around 30 percent of existing maintenance tasks can be deleted. In addition, we also find that crucial preventive tasks are missing and that we need to add 15 to 20 percent of new tasks.
If you want to know how AMprover can boost your preventive maintenance plan, sign up for this webinar.
In this webinar, we elaborate on:
- What is the step-by-step plan of a reliability engineer?
- Which methods can we use to develop a maintenance plan?
- Making a maintenance plan is a teamwork. How do we do this, and how can AMprover support us?
- For whom is this tool suitable, and for whom is it unsuitable?
- What is the relationship between AMprover and an EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) system?
The VDMxl Deep Dive Sessions consists of 16 different webinars.
The webinars cover the most relevant topics in future maintenance, but WCM, World Class Maintenance and VDMXL, Value Driven Maintenance and Asset Management, are the foundation. This methodology explains how to extract maximum economic value from an existing plant, fleet or infrastructure using a professional management approach. The VDMXL Deep Dive Sessions covers themes and topics, a maintenance professional can instantly turn into practice.
